- 01.19.24 | Louisiana Court Upholds Project Air Permits
A five-judge panel of the Louisiana Court of Appeal, First Circuit, issued its ruling on January 19, 2024 reversing the judgment issued by former Judge Trudy White of the 19th Judicial District Court and reinstating LDEQ’s decision to grant FG’s air permits. Judge White’s judgment vacating the air permits is reversed, and FG’s permits are valid once again. - 05.30.21 | FG’s mentorship program continues impactful work in St. James Parish

ST. JAMES, LA - FG LA LLC (FG) has completed improvements to a 2.5 mile stretch of Highway 3127, widening it to a four lane highway with two new travel lanes on the West Bank in St. James Parish, near the site of its planned Sunshine Project. Completion of these improvements upholds FG's commitment to enhance local infrastructure and minimize traffic impacts during construction and operations of the project.

ST. JAMES, LA - In the interest of public safety and stabilizing the current work site, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has notified FG LA LLC (FG) that certain activities related to The Sunshine Project in St. James Parish will be allowed to resume despite the temporary suspension of its permit.

ST. JAMES, LA - In 19th Judicial District Court proceedings today in Baton Rouge, presiding Judge Trudy M. White heard a motion by an opponent of the Title V air permits issued to FG LA LLC's project in St. James Parish by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (RISE St. James v. LDEQ). However, the Court chose not to rule on the motion before it - specific to data assessed by LDEQ regarding the air permit it awarded to FG - and instead, ruled on the merits of the air permit as a whole.
